A baseline (Panel 1) survey, part of a prospective cross-sectional evaluation, was conducted between September-November 2021, to capture data and information in establishing the prevailing situation in the three CHN-targeted governorates of Amman, Karak, and Zarqa on maternal, infant, and young child nutrition, and the status of PLW and service providers (SP). Two separate quantitative surveys were implemented.

Introduction: Women and infants are among the most vulnerable groups for micronutrient deficiencies. Pregnancy micronutrient status can affect birth outcomes and subsequent infants' growth.

Dietary diversity can play an important role in providing essential nutrients for both mother and fetus during pregnancy. This study aimed to assess the factors associated with dietary diversity during pregnancy in the western hill region of Nepal.
