Please note: The deadline to submit a Learning Lab has been extended to January 8th, 2024.

We are pleased to invite proposals for Learning Labs (short half-day workshops) from Jordan-based academic and development institutions to be held on the last day of the Second Scientific Symposium on February 27-29, 2024 in Amman, Jordan. We also welcome proposals from academic and development institutions in the MENA region.

Learning Labs aim to engage learners across different levels of skill and experience to gain expertise on a discrete topic/method related to undertaking research on maternal, infant, and young child health and nutrition. Learning Labs are envisioned to be smaller group sessions (maximum 25 participants) where participants can engage in learning through didactic teaching and hands-on activities. The intended audience for each proposed workshop can range from students, early career, or mid-career professionals to a mix of these groups – this is left to the discretion of those organizing the Learning Lab.

The Learning Labs will allow institutions to share their expertise with a unique audience that typically attends this event – policymakers, program implementers, funders, students, and academics. Proposed Learning Labs will run between 2.5-3 hours and are scheduled for February 29, 2024.

Interested parties are asked to download the following template and submit the proposal to jordannutritioninnovationlab@tufts.edu by January 8th, 2024. Please include "learning lab submission" in your subject line.
