The Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Nutrition Mycotoxin Research Dissemination Workshop
The Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Nutrition hosted a dissemination workshop on December 9, 2019 at the Yak and Yeti Hotel, Kathmandu.
The event focused on empirical findings to better understand the association between maternal and/or early life mycotoxin (aflatoxin) exposure and infant and young child growth in Nepal.
The dissemination proceedings focused on sharing evidence from the Nutrition Innovation Lab’s research and collaboration activities in Nepal, such as:
1) building on the findings from the earlier workshops on mycotoxin mitigation in Nepal;
2) featuring presentations on programs and policies for mycotoxin mitigation; and
3) including demonstration/exhibition of technologies applicable for mycotoxin mitigation.
Invitees included representatives from the Government of Nepal, researchers, academics, private sector and development partners. This dissemination workshop was an opportunity to engage with Nepali national stakeholders to inform policy and program design around Nepal’s food system, human and animal health.
